Meet Angela Dugo-Munizzi APN-FPA, FNP-BC

Bringing Patients an Extensive Background in Multiple Health & Wellness Specialties

A Chicagoland native, Angela Dugo-Munizzi APN-FPA, FNP-BC opened her practice, Midwest Medical, Weight Loss and Aesthetics, LLC, in Orland Park, IL in 2021. She specializes in one-on-one personalized care and services in a variety of practice areas, including weight loss and nutrition counseling, aesthetic injectables, bioidentical hormone therapy and family primary care.

With an extensive background in multiple specialties of nursing in a variety of settings, from busy hospitals to private clinics, Angela has a patient-first mentality, often receiving praise for her collaborative, thoughtful and empathetic approach to care and treatment. She firmly believes in combining preventative and Western treatments to maximize results.

Prior to opening Midwest Medical, Angela started her career as a registered nurse in Northwestern Memorial’s Chicagoland network of hospitals, first in the oncology and palliative unit, followed by cardiac intensive care. She expanded her knowledge base and skill set in her next position as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a busy Chicagoland medical clinic. There, she learned the ins and outs of provider-monitored primary care, weight loss treatment and also expanded her role to aesthetic nursing.

After 15 years in the field, Angela’s solid foundation in all aspects of medicine prompted her to venture out on her own. In 2019, Angela retained her Full Practice Authority License and opened Midwest Medical, Weight Loss and Aesthetics, LLC where she can provide the time and personalized care that patients deserve.

Angela received her Bachelor’s of Nursing from Aurora University in Aurora, IL, followed by her Masters of Science in Nursing and subsequently her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. She belongs to numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, The Illinois Society of Advance Practice Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society and the American Nurses Association. She is also certified in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy.

When she’s not treating patients, Angela loves spending time with her husband, two young children and family dogs.

I am married to my high school sweetheart-Mike and we have 2 kids- Hannah (3) and Benjamin (2). They are the light of my life and keep me VERY busy! I am so excited and honored to be joining this team and being a part of your wellness journey!!

Hi, I’m Lauren. I am so thrilled to be working in the field of my dreams with the Midwest Medical team! A little bit about me, I am a registered nurse with almost 7 years of experience in critical care and procedural nursing. Currently, I am studying to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

I found my love for the beauty and aesthetic industry when I realized the difference it made in my own life. I quickly gained a passion for helping people look their best while maximizing their health & wellness.

My husband Bill and I have been married for 2 years and are parents to our kitty cat, Luna. In my free time, I love fashion blogging and planning my next travel destination ✈️I’m not shy so come say hi, I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Hi, I am Tricia! I have been a dedicated, empathetic and self-motivated registered nurse for about 9 years. I have hospital experience in Hematology, Medical Oncology and outpatient Infusions. I have 6 years of experience in weight loss and nutritional counseling.

Prioritizing care and support for our patients is truly my passion. I have been working at Midwest Medical for over a year and helping others feel and become the best version of themselves has truly been rewarding. I love doing IV therapy and am certified in chemical peels. I am committed to my team and patients and look forward to meeting you!

Hi everyone, my name is Maddie! I graduated from Spring Hill college in may of 2022 and have been working as director of social media and marketing for a little over a year now. I have enjoyed being a part of this company not only because I enjoy what i do, but because i get to see everyday how the work we do impacts people.

I love coming to work and seeing how excited people are leaving this place because what we do really works and helps people reach their goals! It has inspired me so much that i will be continuing my education and going back to school to become a medical assistant!
