Bioidentical Hormone Therapy vs. Traditional HRT

While both of these treatments are classified as hormone replacement therapies, the key difference lies in the substances used to create them. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is chemically similar to our body's naturally produced hormones and is derived from plants. Traditional Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is comprised of a mixture of synthetic hormones and non-plant derived products.
